Documentary film on Hoang Sa to be screened in Hanoi
(VOV) - A documentary film on the Hoang Sa (Paracel) archipelago by French director Andre Menras – Ho Cuong Quyet will be screened in Hanoi on July 11.
The 59 minute-long film entitled “Hoang Sa Vietnam: Noi dau mat mat” (Vietnam’s Hoang Sa: the Pain and Losses) reflects on Vietnamese fishermen’s efforts in overcoming hardships to earn a living and commemorates women who have sacrificed for their family.
The director will hold an exchange with audiences regarding the film at its premiere.
Andre Menras - Ho Cuong Quyet is a director of French Vietnamese nationality, who has participated in innumerable activities in support of Vietnamese people in their struggle against the US in the past.
