The pageant was part of the 2014 Bac Ninh Festival. Twenty-four candidates qualified for the final round where they took part in four events – Ao Dai (traditional long dress), bikini, evening gowns, and Tu Than (four-panel dress for Quan Ho - love duet singing). Top five candidates were selected for the Q&A contest.
Hai Linh, a student of the Bac Ninh College of Statistics, won out over 24 highly talented opponents, with the runner-up title awarded to Hoang My Linh.
The jury board, which included Miss Vietnam Mai Phuong Thuy, also presented sub-awards to other beauties, such as Miss Ao Dai, Miss Tu Than and Miss Hospitality.
