As part of the competition's traditional costume segment, Tu joined fellow contestants from countries and territories around the world in showcasing designs that celebrate their unique cultural heritage.

Representing Vietnam, he wore the elaborate outfit titled “Con Rồng Cháu Tiên” (Descendants of the Dragon and Fairy), designed by renowned Vietnamese designer Tuan Hai. The design draws inspiration from the ancient legend of Father Lac Long Quan and Mother Au Co, considered the mythical ancestors of the Vietnamese people.

The costume is a visual tribute to national unity, pride, and patriotism, meticulously crafted with intricate patterns and motifs representing dragons, phoenixes, clouds, and waves. These elements symbolically link Vietnam’s rich cultural past with its modern aspirations.

Designer Tuan Hai described the outfit as a sacred symbol of Vietnam’s roots and an expression of the Vietnamese people's noble origin. Through this design, he said, he wants to convey a strong message of national pride, resilience, and the beauty of Vietnamese culture.

Representatives from Thailand, the Philippines, Indonesia, Nigeria, Myanmar, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, the Republic of Korea, and others also wore national costumes that strongly reflected their national identities. Each costume helped the audience understand more about the beauty of each country’s culture.

The grand finale of Mister Cosmopolitan 2025 is scheduled for the evening of September 7 in capital Bangkok.

Dinh Sy Tu, 25, hailing from Thai Nguyen province, is currently a fitness coach and model. He previously competed in Mister Vietnam 2024, where he placed in the Top 10 and won the Mister Fitness title.

Last year model Dinh Duong Bao Huy, a student of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology, won the 4th runner-up title at Mister Cosmopolitan 2024, marking the highest achievement of Vietnamese representative in the male beauty contest.
