Digital cultural map set for pilot run in November

VOV.VN - Set to begin pilot run on November 1, 2026, Vietnam's digital cultural map features a five-tier architecture designed to help citizens easily search for cultural, sports, and tourism events nationwide while establishing an interactive channel leading up to Vietnam Cultural Day on November 24.

Speaking on the launch, Cao Le Tuan Anh, Chief of Office and Spokesperson for the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, stated that the tool operates flexibly on both desktop and smartphone interfaces, enabling residents and visitors to look up events nationwide.

For instance, when selecting areas such as Hanoi, Da Nang, Ho Chi Minh City, or Quang Ninh, the system automatically displays event counts, schedules, venues, scale, significance, and ticketing details, whether free or paid.

The map also integrates direct links to Google Maps to assist users with navigation. Emphasizing that the digital map is more than just a reference database, the Ministry's Chief of Office noted that its long-term objective is to provide an interactive mechanism connecting the State, citizens, and businesses to advance the cultural industry. Ahead of Vietnam Cultural Day on November 24, citizens can track event locations, ticketing status, and essential details, with the pilot run slated for November 1 for ongoing refinement.

Developed with a five-tier architecture comprising Foundation, Data, Content, Market, and Cultural Industry, the official channel not only helps overcome communication shortcomings faced by theaters and art troupes but also generates fresh momentum for enterprises. Over the long term, it will serve as an interactive bridge boosting the sustainable development of Vietnam's cultural industry.
