Deputy PM: Culture is Vietnam’s spiritual foundation
(VOV) - On August 22, Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam attended a ceremony marking the 70th anniversary of the cultural sector and the 2nd Patriotic Emulation Congress of the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism.
In his speech, Dam praised the culture, sports, and tourism sector’s achievements over recent years, saying that Vietnam has a rich culture with many heritage sites.
“Developing an advanced Vietnamese culture embracing national identity is a long-term task. Preventing negative cultural behaviors is the responsibility of the whole society but, first of all, state managers," he said.
The sector was hounoured with the Ho Chi Minh Order on the occasion.
