Da Nang festival to feature hundreds of orchid species
VOV.VN - An orchid festival is set to return to the central city of Da Nang from May 27 to May 28, with the event attracting hundreds of artisans and people who love orchids from various localities across the country.
This marks the fourth time the event will be held in Da Nang, with the aim of creating a playground for people who love orchids.
On display across the occasion will be around 400 orchids of all kinds produced by artisans nationwide, including those from Hanoi, Quang Nam, Quang Ngai, Binh Dinh, Phu Yen, Khanh Hoa, Kon Tum, Gia Lai, Dak Lak, Lam Dong, and Ho Chi Minh City.
The organising board will present three sets of prizes to outstanding works of orchids, including orchids featuring a hanging stem, sword orchids, and synthetic orchids.
Each set of prizes will consist of one first prize, one second prize, two third prizes, and 10 consolation prizes.
The festival co-organised by the Museum of Da Nang and the Da Nang Orchid Club under the central city's Bonsai Association is expected to attract about 1,000 arrivals.
