Da Lat to host cherry blossom festival 2026

VOV.VN - The Da Lat cherry blossom festival 2026 is scheduled to take place in the South-central province of Lam Dong from January 16 to 25, featuring a wide range of activities to honour the beauty of cherry blossom trees.

The festival themed Da Lat Cherry Blossoms - Gathering Spring Colours will open with an art programme slated for January 16 at Lam Vien Square.

The opening stage design is inspired by the cherry blossom forest at Cau Dat tea hills, combining live music, fashion, and storytelling through modern audiovisual technology. Organisers will also unveil a map of cherry blossom viewing spots, guiding visitors through key locations and enhancing the overall tourist experience.

Besides, artistic flower paths, tree planting, creative art programmes, folk dance competition and gongs performances are expected to bring exciting experiential activities for tourists.

The festival this year is one part of activities to celebrate the 14th National Party Congress, welcome the Lunar New Year, and lead up to the 11th Da Lat Flower Festival in 2026. The event also aims to honour the cherry blossom as a symbol of spring in Da Lat, promote the locality’s natural beauty, culture, and hospitality, and strengthen Da Lat– Lam Dong’s tourism brand.
