Cultural heritage highlighted at New York festival

(VOV) - On May 9, Vietnam attended Asia’s cultural heritage festival in the US taking place at Stony Brook University in New York.

Other international organizations and Vietnam’s permanent mission to the UN and introduced to visitors Vietnam’s land, people, the traditional costume, handicraft products, and typical cultural characteristics.

International friends and New York citizens have complimented the rich cultural identity of Vietnam showcased at the event.

The New York cultural heritage festival-an annual event is designed to introduce American people and international friends to the intrinsic cultural values of countries and territories in the Asia-Pacific region, and promote cultural exchange and diversity between nations.

Delegations from Asian countries’ permanent missions to the United Nations (UN) joined the event along with Asian communities in New York such as Vietnam, Japan, the Republic of Korea, India, Thailand, the Philippines and China.
