Cultural activities mark Russia’s October Revolution
VOV.VN - As many as 100 photos are on display at an exhibition which opened on November 1 in Ho Chi Minh city to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Russia’s October Revolution.
Russian Book Week was also launched the same day in Ho Chi Minh city, introducing Russian culture and values.
Ta Thi Kim Ngan, a kindergarten teacher, one of the visitors, said "Today, I am able to broaden my knowledge through the Russian Book Week. Russian literature is diverse and many works honor those who died for Russia. Being introduced to 3 Russian books, I learn more about the Russians, including heroes who laid down their lives for Russia.”
The Hanoi People’s Committee will host a national-level meeting celebrating the 100th anniversary of Russia’s October Revolution (November 17) on November 5 with over 3,500 people attending. Cultural and art exchanges will be taking place across the city.
Earlier on October 31, the Dong Nai People’s Committee and the provincial Union of Friendship Organizations held a ceremony to recall the historical significance Russia’s October Revolution. Russia treasures its comprehensive strategic partnership with Vietnam, a long-term, trustworthy friend, Russian Consulate General Aleksey V. Popov said at the event.
