The announcement comes as a surprise to many beauty fans when the Vietnamese license holder of Mister Global confirmed that Cong Vinh will represent Vietnam at the competition. This comes just days after he wrapped up Mister International 2025, where he made the Top 10 and won two special awards - Dr. Face Choice Award and Mister Photogenic.

This marks Cong Vinh’s third time joining a global male pageant. Mister Global 2025 is being hosted in another province of Thailand, and right after Mister International concluded, the model quickly prepared his luggage and traveled to the new location to catch up with the competition’s activities.

Previously, model Tran Manh Kien, who won 3rd runner-up at Manhunt International 2022, was announced as Vietnam’s representative at Mister Global 2025. However, he withdrew due to family reasons.

Vietnam has a strong track record at Mister Global, with two titleholders - Nguyen Van Son (Mister Global 2015) and Danh Chieu Linh (originally 1st runner-up in 2021, later elevated to the winner). Other Vietnamese contestants have also placed highly, including Nguyen Huu Vi (3rd runner-up, 2014), Nguyen Van Thuan (4th runner-up, 2017), and Le Huu Dat (4th runner-up, 2023).

Born in 1999 in Tay Ninh, Doan Cong Vinh is 1.82m tall, weighs 77kg, and has body measurements of 98-76-98 cm. Besides modeling, he works as a sales manager at a mobile phone company. Earlier in 2024, the model also competed at Man of the World, where he placed in the Top 10 and earned several special awards, including silver for Best Physique, and bronze for Fashion of the World.
