Commercial, cultural development zones in the pipeline for Hanoi
VOV.VN - Hanoi is seeking public feedback on a draft resolution to establish commercial and cultural development zones as part of efforts to boost the cultural industry and position the capital as a regional creative centre.
Under the draft resolution, Hanoi plans to establish commercial and cultural development zones that integrate economic and trade activities with cultural preservation and promotion.
These zones are expected to enhance the competitiveness of the city’s cultural industries, stimulate tourism, and provide fresh momentum for local economic growth.
A wide range of events will be launched in these areas, including festivals and traditional cultural and artistic performances. They will also feature museums, heritage houses, art exhibition spaces showcasing both tangible and intangible cultural assets, along with architecturally and culturally significant structures.
Notably, trade fairs and exhibitions will be held to promote products from traditional craft villages, with the aim of drawing more visitors to the capital.
The draft resolution stipulates that each zone must meet specific criteria in terms of architectural planning, technical infrastructure, business environment, and the capacity to preserve and promote Hanoi’s unique cultural values.
At present, the city is collecting feedback from organisations and individuals to finalise the draft before submitting it to the Hanoi People’s Council for approval.
