“Colorful China” programme brings traditional Chinese art to Hanoi
VOV.VN - Chinese art lovers will have a chance to enjoy traditional dances, folk melodies, and ethnic instruments rich in Chinese cultural identity in an art programme themed “Colorful China” slated for August 3 - 4 at Ho Guom Opera, Hanoi.

As part of the international event series Musical Seasons 2025, this cultural programme aims to enhance mutual understanding and strengthen the friendship between the peoples of Vietnam and China. Through the universal language of art, it conveys a message of harmony, solidarity, and a shared aspiration toward a prosperous and sustainable future.
The event will be performed by the China National Ethnic Song and Dance Ensemble, a national-level professional art troupe established in 1952 under the National Ethnic Affairs Commission of China. With over 70 years of history and over 300 artists from 36 ethnic minorities, the troupe is considered a living symbol of China's cultural diversity as it has made concert tour across 70 countries and territories from around the world.
Among the performers are Jiang Dawei, a powerful and acclaimed vocalist, and Yang Liping, an iconic dancer hailed as a “national treasure.”
The show presents a vivid and diverse artistic journey, combining dance, traditional music, and contemporary stage elements—from the vibrant dances of the Tibetan and Uyghur peoples, to the soulful folk melodies of the Miao, Bai, and Zhuang ethnicities.
The art programme is organised by the Ministry of Public Security to mark the 80th anniversary of the People's Public Security Traditional Day (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and the 20th anniversary of the National Day for National Security Protection (August 19, 2005 - 2025).
