Coal and Mineral win national women’s football tourney

Vietnam Coal and Mineral FC dominated the Thai Son Bac 2012 National Women’s Football Championships, being crowned champions after defeating Ho Chi Minh City FC 1-0 at Ha Nam stadium on May 28.

The only goal for Coal and Mineral FC was scored by striker Le Thi Thuong in the 58^th minute of the match.

Coal and Mineral FC earned a total of 20 points to win the tournament after playing 10 matches in a round robin format. They are followed by Hanoi I and Phong Phu Ha Nam, both currently with 17 points.

The first and second runners-up will be decided on May 30 after the match between Phong Phu Ha Nam and last year's champions, Hanoi I.
