Classical music concerts to be held at L’Espace
The Journey of Music program comprising two classical concerts, namely From East to West and From Czech Republic to France, will feature prominent international musicians on the stage of the French Cultural Center L’Espace in Hanoi in mid-August.

The program is part of the Vietnam Connection Music Festival 2019. Audiences can enjoy the Vietnam premieres of Charles Gounod’s “Funeral March of a Marionnette”, Duke Ellington’s “Ellington Fantasy for string quartet”, Kenji Bunch’s duo alto “Three American Folk Hymn”, and Zdenek Fibich’s quintet for violin, clarinet, viola, cello and piano in D major.
Some other marvellous pieces that will be played are Darius Milhaud’s string quartet No. 1, Vu Viet Anh’s string quartet “Skyline”, Kim Mai Nguyen and Avery Waite’s “Pocket-Sized Suite for Two Travelers”, Nguyen Minh Nhat’s string quartet No. 2 “Flashbacks”, and Nguyen Manh Duy Linh’s string quartet “A Gentle Wind”.
The From East to West concert will take place on August 15, featuring violinist Petr Fedetov, violinist Nguyen Thien Minh, violist Kim Mai Nguyen, and cellist Avery Waite.
The From Czech Republic to France concert will feature violinist Ruslan Turuntaev, oboeist Nguyen Hoang Tung, violist Bui Anh Son, cellist Tran Thi Mo, and pianist Chika Murata on August 16.
Both concerts will begin at 8 p.m. Tickets cost from VND130,000 to VND210,000, with a special price of VND100,000 for students, and can be purchased at L’Espace, 24 Trang Tien Street, Hanoi.
