Christmas symphony concerts in Hanoi to raise funds for disadvantaged children
VOV.VN - To mark Christmas 2025, the Vietnam National Symphony Orchestra will present the “VNSO Christmas Charity Concert 2025” at St. Joseph’s Cathedral in Hanoi and St Anthony Ham Long Church, with proceeds aimed at supporting disadvantaged children.
The concert at St. Joseph’s Cathedral, located at 40 Nha Chung Street, Hoan Kiem Ward, is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on December 26, while the second performance will take place at St Anthony Ham Long Church, 21 Ham Long Street, Cua Nam Ward, at 7:30 p.m. on December 27. Both concerts are open to the public free of charge.
The two charity evenings will feature a selection of joyful and warm classical works by renowned international composers, reflecting the festive spirit of Christmas and welcoming the New Year.
The concerts will be conducted by Japanese conductor Honna Tetsuji, with the participation of leading chamber music artists, including Le Hoang Lan (concertmaster), Dao Mai Anh (violin), Nguyen Thai Ha (organ, harpsichord), Nguyen Quynh Oanh (flute), Nguyen Thi Dieu Quynh (flute), and Luu Ly Ly (cello).
The program will also include performances by the Nuae Choir under the direction of Pham Hoai Trung, the young chamber group VYMI Ensemble comprising Leeel Kwak (violin), Nguyen Duc Anh (violin), Ta Minh Tri (violin), and Sooa Lee (violin), along with musicians from the Vietnam National Symphony Orchestra.
