CHIBOOKS brings Vietnamese stories to China-ASEAN Book Culture Week

VOV.VN - Chi Culture Joint Stock Company (CHIBOOKS) is representing Vietnam at the China-ASEAN Book Culture Week 2025, taking place from July 3 to 6 in Nanning, Guangxi, at the invitation of Guangxi Publishing and Media Group.

This year, Vietnam is featured as the event’s main guest, marking a cultural highlight in celebration of the 75th anniversary of diplomatic ties between Vietnam and China.

At the event, CHIBOOKS is collaborating with Chinese partners to organize a Vietnamese cultural booth showcasing books, traditional handicrafts, cuisine, art, and the iconic Ao Dai, along with live performances of Vietnamese folk music.

The Vietnamese delegation is also scheduled to work with the Guangxi Writers Association on July 5 to promote literary cooperation. From July 6 to 9, they will engage in dialogue sessions with Chinese writers and students in Guangxi.

On July 3, the two sides launched a bilingual Vietnamese–Chinese textbook on sports language, the first of its kind to be published jointly by both countries. The book will be used at both Vietnamese and Chinese sports schools.

On July 4, Vietnamese author Do Quang Tuan Hoang gave a talk on tea culture and introduced his book Ngan Nam Tra Viet (A Thousand Years of Vietnamese Tea), which is set to be published in China this July.

Nguyen Le Chi, translator, director of CHIBOOKS, and vice president of the Literature Translation Council under the Ho Chi Minh City Writers Association, noted that this is her third time bringing Vietnamese authors to China for cultural exchanges. She expressed hope that these engagements would pave the way for deeper and more frequent literary cooperation between the two countries.
