Canadian pianist to perform in Vietnam

(VOV) -Canadian composer and pianist Alain Lefevre will perform in Ho Chi Minh City on May 13 and Hanoi on May 15.

The concerts are part of the activities to celebrate the 40th anniversary of diplomatic ties between Canada and Vietnam.

Acclaimed as a “hero”, “spectacular”, a “smashing performer”, a “genial talent”, and “the 10 most agile fingers to have emerged from Quebec”, Lefevre, who was introduced to music at the age of four, has had a sparkling international career performing at prestigious venues with international orchestras and leading conductors.

He also helped thousands of poor students during his worldwide tours.

In November 2007, he was awarded the Chevalier de l’Ordre de la Pléiade for his outstanding contributions to the artistic community.
