A wide range of activities are set to take place throughout the four-day event, including an exhibition showcasing 50 photographs on Cambodia’s cultural heritages and promoting many popular tourist destinations such as Angkor Wat and Sambo Prei Kok as well as traditional dances of Khmer people.
The festival provides an excellent opportunity for people from both countries to gain further insights into each nation’s unique cultural characteristics, therefore helping to preserve national culture, strengthen solidarity, and consolidate friendly relations.
Le Ngoc Dinh, Deputy Director of the Department of International Cooperation under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, emphasized that after over half a century since the establishment of diplomatic ties, a time-honoured friendship has been established between the two countries.
Dinh noted that co-operation activities and mutual understanding will serve to deepen cultural identity and bring practical benefits to the peoples of both nations.
