Cambodia Culture Week set to open Nov. 8 in Vietnam

VOV.VN - Cambodia Culture Week 2017 will take place from November 8-11 in Hanoi, and Ha Long in the northern province of Quang Ninh, according to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

The event is jointly held by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and the Cambodian Ministry of Culture and Fine Arts, aiming to promote friendship and cooperation between the peoples.

The event provides a good opportunity for Vietnamese people to learn more about the culture and people of Cambodia.

During the week, an exhibition featuring Cambodian culture will open at the Vietnam Exhibition Centre for Culture and Arts on November 8. The exhibition will feature Cambodia’s architectural and cultural heritages such as Angkor Wat, PreahVihear temple, Sambo PreiKok, and Khmer dances.

It will include public displays about Cambodia’s traditional costumes, Khmer kite, musical instruments, and paintings depicting the developmental achievements of such cities as Phnom Penh, Siem Reap, Battambang, and Sihanoukville. Phnom Penh is a particular highlight – the capital city of Cambodia is a cultural tourism destination in the region and worldwide.
