British composer Michael Price to visit Vietnam
British composer Michael Price who won an Emmy award in 2014 will visit Vietnam for the first time to give lectures on music composition for film at Salon Saigon in District 3, HCM City from May 8 to 12.

Price in collaboration with Vietnamese composer Nguyen Manh Duy Linh and film director Phan Gia Nhat Linh will run a workshop on music composition for 15 participants who are young students, musicians and filmmakers.
Price is also expected to make a public presentation at the HCM City Conservatory of Music on May 10. A film screening and a networking session will be held on May 12 at Salon Saigon to introduce productions by participants during the course.
Price’s activities in Vietnam are part of the British Council’s program to promote the development of creative industries in Vietnam, present the UK’s outstanding artistic talents to the country and strengthen cooperation between Vietnam and the UK.
Price has made achievements as music editor of numerous blockbusters such as Peter Jackson’s The Lord of the Rings trilogy, Richard Curtis’ Love Actually, Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason, and Alfonso Cuaron’s Children of Men.
