Organized by the Hanoi People’s Committee, the fair marks significant anniversaries: the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19, 1945–2025), the 80th anniversary of Vietnam’s National Day (September 2, 1945–2025), and the 70th anniversary of Hanoi’s Liberation Day (October 10, 1954–2024).

With 250 to 300 booths from over 50 domestic and international publishers and distributors, the event will feature an exhibition showcasing books and documents highlighting the history, culture, and people of Thang Long-Hanoi, as well as innovative and creative technological applications in publishing.

A broad array of activities will be launched during the fair, including seminars on reading culture, book displays, book introductions, copyright transactions, and cultural exchange programs.

Since its inception in 2014, the Hanoi Book Fair aims to promote a reading culture, encourage reading habits, and inspire community-driven reading movements to foster a learning society.

9th Hanoi Book Fair to take place in late September

The 9th Hanoi Book Fair will be held from September 27 -29 under the theme "Hanoi: Capital of Culture and Heroes - City for Peace".
