Boney M, Smokie member to perform in Hanoi

Disco band Boney M and Chris Norman, former lead singer of the Smokie band, will perform in Hanoi this October.

The German disco band and singer are expected to arrive in the capital for a concert, according to a Hanoi-based company that organised a Kenny G concert in the city.

Boney M is known as the one of the most successful disco bands of all time. Formed in 1976, the band’s popular include Daddy Cool, Rasputin, Rivers of Babylon and Brown girl in the ring.

Rock star Chris Norman of Smokie with his rock ballad style will also perform.

The band’s hits If you think you know how to love me, Living next door to Alice, Lay back in the arms of someone, Stumblin’in, Midnight lady are loved by millions of rock fans worldwide, including Vietnamese.
