Binh Thuan to host diverse cultural activities to mark National Day
VOV.VN - A photo exhibition and a wide range of cultural activities have been held in Phan Thiet city in the southern province of Binh Thuan on August 31 in order to celebrate the upcoming National Day on September 2.
The event is also taking place as part of activities which aim to mark the National Tourism Year "Binh Thuan - Green Convergence.
More than 150 images and artifacts were showcased at the exhibition, with the ultimate goal of introducing Sa Huynh archaeological culture; the cultural characteristics of the Cham, K'ho, and Raglei ethnic groups in Binh Thuan; as well as the landscapes, festivals, and traditional crafts of the Kinh people.
At the exhibition there is also a booth set up which introduces typical products of Binh Thuan, a demonstration of brocade weaving, ways of making traditional pottery products, and folk music.
Through the event, visitors have the opportunity to gain greater insights into the unique and distinctive cultural features, as well as traditional customs, beliefs, and religions of ethnic communities residing in different regions of the country.
The same day, the Wonderland Water Park officially open in Tien Thanh commune of Phan Thiet city at a site spanning a total of seven hectares. The project has been put into operation from August 5, with many new and attractive games to attract thousands of visitors each day.
