Belly dancers shake their stuff at Hanoi event

Around 100 people turned up to watch the fourth edition of the Unlimited Belly Dance Competition where talented dancers both young and old performed their best moves.

“It was absolutely excellent with many highly attractive performances,” exclaimed Russian jury member Nadia Nikishenko.

“The audience loved it and they had a great evening. It was extremely well-received.”

She said the youngest contestant was four years old and the oldest 65. Competitors came from as far away as Japan, Thailand, Hong Kong, China, Ukraine, Malaysia and Russia.

Awards were presented for best contestants in nine categories. 

Le Thi Bich Ngoc won in the young solo category while Dao Thu Ha and Bui Thanh Huyen claimed first place in fantasy and tribal solo, respectively.
