Belgian experts train local hospitality employees
Belgian experts from the Wallon region and Brussels began giving lessons in European food, chocolate and cream, as well as the art of arranging flowers, to employees of the Government Guest House and various famous hotels in Hanoi on April 1.
The event is part of a project signed in 2013 between Vietnam and the Wallonie-Bruxelles region focusing on training the hospitality industry in Vietnam.
According to Christian Bourgoignie, head of the Wallonie Bruxelles delegation to Vietnam, the project will be carried out every year within the next three years.
The classes are held on weekdays and will run until April 12, at the Gorvenment Guest House, 2 Le thach Street.
The employees taking part in the class will cook a meat together on April 10.
The Minister-President of Wallon region (and burgomaster of Wallon region’s Tournai city) who is scheduled to visit Vietnam next week, will invite ambassadors of Francophone countries in Hanoi to enjoy the meal.
