Beauty queens, KOLs join election communication campaign in Ho Chi Minh City
VOV.VN - Several organisations managing beauty queens, runners-up, male pageant winners and key opinion leaders (KOLs) have said they will coordinate with relevant agencies in communication activities for the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and the People’s Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term.
The information was shared at a meeting of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Culture and Sports on March 9 on coordination in election communication.
Deputy Director Nguyen Ngoc Hoi said the city is mobilising multiple forces for the campaign, including the press, media organisations, KOLs as well as beauty queens and male pageant winners with strong public influence.
According to Hoang Nhat Nam, representative of Golden Lotus Advertising and Trading JSC, the company will assign several beauty queens and male pageant winners to produce video clips about the March 15 election day, which will be shared on social media platforms to reach younger audiences.
A representative of MCV Group said the company currently manages about 50 KOLs, and they will also take part in election communication activities.
Under the plan, KOLs, beauty queens and male pageant winners will produce short images and video clips with simple and accessible messages about the election for distribution on social media platforms.
In the 2021 election, several beauty queens and pageant winners took part in communication activities encouraging voters to cast their ballots, generating wide attention on social media.
Nguyen Ngoc Hoi said the city aims to expand election-related information across online platforms through diverse and creative forms so that citizens better understand their rights and responsibilities in the voting process.
In preparation for the election of deputies to the 16th legislature and the People’s Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term, a series of art programmes will also be held across the city from March 8 to 13.
The programmes, under the theme “Ho Chi Minh City- Full of Trust and Affection,” are intended to highlight the political and social significance of the election while creating a positive atmosphere among residents ahead of the nationwide voting day.
