Ban Flower Festival 2025 draws crowds to Dien Bien

VOV.VN - The 2025 Ban Flower Festival, held in conjunction with the eighth Cultural, Sports, and Tourism Festival of Ethnic Groups, officially opened on March 14 in the northwestern province of Dien Bien, drawing thousands of locals and tourists.

The event features the beauty of the Ban flower, a cultural symbol of Dien Bien and the broader northwestern region, while also promoting local tourism and socio-economic development.

The opening ceremony featured a 90-minute artistic program with captivating performances by local artists.

In his opening remarks, Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long highlighted Dien Bien’s rich tourism potential, rooted in its historical heritage and distinctive cultural identity. He emphasized the importance of leveraging these strengths by hosting the Ban Flower Festival and promoting green, sustainable tourism to attract more domestic and international visitors.

Now in its 11th edition, the festival has become a signature event for Dien Bien, enhancing its cultural and tourism appeal while contributing to overall economic growth.

This year’s festival features a wide range of activities, including a beauty contest, traditional sports competitions, a street parade, and a cultural space exhibition.
