‘Balade en France’ 2024 to bring visitors on a journey to France

Following the success of the three previous editions in 2018, 2020, and 2023, the event jointly organised by the French Embassy in Vietnam, the French Ministry of Agriculture and Food, and the People’s Committee of Hanoi will come back to the capital for its fourth edition with many exciting activities, according to French Ambassador to Vietnam Olivier Brochet at a press conference held on March 27 in Hanoi.

The festival due to take place at Thống Nhất (Reunification) Park will consist of 80 French booths, double the figure from 2023, he revealed.

French cheese, wine, butter, bacon, crepes, chocolate, and more will be available at the festival. Famous French restaurants around Hanoi such as La Table Hanoia, Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi, Saint Honoré Bakery, and others will showcase their best items at the event.

The ambassador shared that a sports village spanning an area of 300 square metres will be organised and visitors will have the chance to take part in many sporting activities, including basketball, golf, badminton, archery, and tennis in order to welcome the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.

Through quality food and sports activities on offer, organisers hope locals will be able to understand more about French cuisine and maintain their good health, he said.

Various Vietnamese and French artists such as Thu Thuy, Hua Thanh Tu, Etienne, and DJ Jahmadinho will stir up a festive atmosphere through special art performances on April 5 and 6.

Moreover, a street dance festival themed Balade En France - All in One 2024 will draw the participation of students from francophone schools in Hanoi.
