Australian students learn about Vietnamese culture

Students from Australia National University (ANU) will experience Vietnamese culture in a study exchange jointly organised by ANU and Danang University.

This is the 7th group to take part in the programme, drawing the participation of 25 Australian lecturers and students, as well as members of affiliated colleges of Danang University.

Participants will go sightseeing, learn about Vietnam’s traditional and cultural values, economic development and environmental changes. They will also learn Vietnamese and experience a homestay.

The programme educates ANU students about Southeast Asian and Vietnamese cultural values, said Associate Professor Richard Baker.

The ANU’s lecturer also praised the opportunities the programme provides students from the two countries to learn and exchange experiences, and develop international skills.
