August festival to spotlight nation’s culture in Germany
A Vietnamese culture festival will be held in Germany in August.
Set to take place at the Friendship Island (Freundschaftsinsel) in the German city of Potsdam, the festival’s highlights include a photo exhibition, traditional music and martial arts performances, a fashion show and a gastronomy fair.
According to Vietnamese ambassador to Germany Nguyen Thi Hoang Anh, the festival will be a great opportunity to present Vietnam’s people and rich culture to German and international friends.
Anh believed the event would help strengthen friendship and co-operation between the peoples of Germany and Vietnam.
Germany is home to a large Vietnamese community, with about 100,000 people currently living and working in the country.
