Asian Women’s Beach Volleyball Champs opens
(VOV) - The Asian Women’s Beach Volleyball Championship 2013 kicked off in the northern province of Quang Ninh on April 25.
Twelve teams representing seven Asian countries and territories are participating in the tournament.
China, Japan, Australia, Thailand, and host nation Vietnam all favour their chances for tournament success.
Thailand 1 overwhelmed Vietnam 2 2-0 in the opening game.
The four-day tournament forms part of the 2013 Ha Long Carnival, and is also an official competition in the Asian Volleyball Confederation system.
