Art show commemorates late President’s birthday

The Van Hoa (Culture) newspaper will host an art show commemorating President Ho Chi Minh’s birthday (May 19, 1890 - 2019) at Hanoi’s Opera House on May 19.

The show is the third of its kind.

Titled Qua Thang 5 Dang Nguoi (May Gift to President Ho), the show will be directed by Meritorious Artist Quoc Hung, director of Vocal Faculty, Vietnam National Music Academy.

“A new feature of this year’s show is that it will gather leading pop singers from the north like Trong Tan, Tan Nhan, Anh Tho, Meritorious Artist Quoc Hung, Meritorious Artist Dang Duong, Meritorious Artist Phuong Thao, the children’s choir from Thien Phuc Club, the choir from the academy, and the Camelia Dancing Troup,” Hung said.

Chu Thu Hang, editor-in-chief of the newspaper, said it is an honour for the newspaper to host the show every birthday of President Ho Chi Minh.

The show is expected to offer deep feelings dedicated to the late president, she said.
