Ao Dai introduced in Russia by designer Minh Hanh
VOV.VN - Famous Vietnamese designer Minh Hanh talked about the Vietnamese traditional dress, the Ao Dai in Moscow, Russia on November 16.
Designer Minh Hanh told audiences about the development of the Ao Dai from the beginning of the 19th century up until the present. This is the first time the Vietnamese traditional dress has been introduced in Russia by such a talented designer. |
Approximately 70 attended with the audience being made up of Russian teachers and students as well as Vietnamese students who joined the talk held at a university in Moscow. |
During the presentation, an Ao Dai performance modelled by Russia students was held. Viewers showed interest in Vietnamese traditional dresses with patterns of dragons and phoenixs. |
Among the various Ao Dai designs Russian architecture was featured. Liza, a student in a Vietnamese faculty, says Vietnamese traditional dresses are designed with a modern style and they look beautiful. |
