Ao Dai Festival 2017 launches in HCM City
VOV.VN - Do My Linh, the reigning Miss Vietnam, launched Ao Dai Festival 2017 in Ho Chi Minh City today (Feb. 23) at a press conference.

At the presser, it was announced a fashion show at the festival will feature 30 of the country’s top models who will showcase designs by Si Hoang, Thuan Viet and Vo Viet Chung. |

The event is organized by the HCM City Department of Culture and Sports. |

It will include an exhibition at the Ao Dai Museum and two open-air music and song programs starring Dong Nhi, Huong Tram and Noo Phuoc Thinh. |

More than 40 clothing and textile manufacturers and fashion houses have signed on to sponsor the two-day festival. |

A bevy of activities including an Ao Dai design contest will transpire at the Youth Cultural House. |

Dozens of photo and painting exhibitions on Ao Dai will take place at universities and cultural centres throughout the city. |

Hopefully, says Linh, the festival will attract more than the 50,000 visitors that came out for last year’s event. |
