AFP's 13 incredible Olympic-themed photos on display in Ho Chi Minh City
VOV.VN - The Consulate General of France in Ho Chi Minh City debuted an exhibition on June 11 with the theme of “Sport et Fraternité” (Sports and friendship) to celebrate the upcoming Paris Olympic and Paralympic Games.
The exhibition introduces 13 images snapped by Agence France-Presse (AFP) photographers, illustrating impressive moments of previous Olympic competitions and events leading up to the 2024 Games in Paris this summer.
Audiences will be able to experience and relive some of the most memorable moments from these major sporting events thanks to AFP’s distinctive perspective, which combines expertise, creativity, and innovation.
Grégory Robert, deputy consul general of France in Ho Chi Minh City, said this is the third time in French history that the country would host the global sporting event.
The Olympic Games provides an opportunity for athletes to meet, share experiences, and express friendship among various individuals, he added.
Nearly 15 million visitors are expected to come to Paris and around four billion viewers will watch the sporting competition on TV. In addition to competitions, many cultural exchanges will be organised to introduce French culture to international friends, he noted.
