Actress Kieu Chinh recalls her childhood in Hanoi

VOV.VN - On a recent visit to the homeland, 80-year-old former actress Kieu Chinh spent time touring the Hanoi Old Quarter reminiscing of her early childhood days growing up in the city.

Miss Chinh said she loves the Old Quarter in the morning best.

She said she left Hanoi when she was 17 and then lived in Ho Chi Minh City for 21 years.

Her lucky break came when she was cast in the movie Hoi Chuong Thien Mu (The Bells of Thien Mu Temple) and at the age of 38 she was off to Hollywood where she starred in more than 100 films.

During her three-day visit to Hanoi, Chinh was infatuated with the street cafes and talking to city residents while enjoying a cup of joe.
