A look back at Tieu Vy’s Miss World 2018 journey

VOV.VN -Miss Vietnam 2018 Tieu Vy enjoyed many impressive performances during Miss World 2018, even picking up a number of sub-category awards along the way.

Tran Tieu Vy, the reigning Miss Vietnam, departed for China on November 9. She brought a total of 8 suitcases weighing approximately 150kg to the Miss World 2018 pageant. She had prepared well for the tasks by training her skills and improving her English.

Vy was listed among the Top 9 Miss World contestants by Missosology.

On her very first day competing at the beauty pageant, Vy left a fantastic impression on viewers with her fashion sense.

During the Dance of the World segment she performed a type of singing and dancing ritual called Chau Van which pays tribute to the Mother Goddesses. Although the dance requires a performance with 2 torches, Tieu Vy was unable to dance with fire in the show due to the safety requirements of the competition’s organizing board.

In the Head to Head challenge, she found herself in the same group as representatives from Egypt, South Sudan, the Bahamas, Montenegro and India, which was considered one of the strongest groups in the competition.

The beauty achieved a top 30 finish in the talent segment as she performed “Lac Troi” (Lost and Floating), a famous song of singer and songwriter Son Tung M-TP, successfully.

Vy showed off her perfect figures in a bikini during the out-door activities of the pageant.

The Vietnamese representative was also named among the top 32 finalists in the Top Model segment.

Vy took part in a swimsuit photoshoot, showing her prefect shape with measurement of 84-63-90.

In the Beauty With A Purpose competition, Vy found herself among the top 5 thanks to her charitable project named “Providing water for remote villages”.
