A collection of sketches of General Giap makes debut

(VOV) - On May 26, an exhibition titled ‘General Vo Nguyen Giap – The moments of daily life with art’ opened at the Vietnam Military History Museum (VMHM). 

The event was co-organised by the VMHM, the Vietnam Fine Arts Association,the Association for Liaison with Overseas Vietnamese, EAS Vietnam Company and painter Van Duong Thanh.

The exhibition showcased a collection of 40 sketches and 10 oil paintings of General Vo Nguyen Giap. Painter Van Duong Thanh drew these paintings of General Giap when she returned to Vietnam in 1999 from Sweden.

The collection also includes three paintings that General Giap made sketches of painter Van Duong Thanh.

The exhibition will run through June 7 and is expected to be held in the central province of Quang Binh, and then HCM City.
