The 2016 Japanese Film Festival is scheduled to take place from October 28 to November 27 in Hanoi, Danang and Ho Chi Minh City, featuring eight films of different genres.

The films to be on show include What a Wonderful Family!, Tsukiji Wonderland, Creepy, The Magnificent Nine, The Boy and the Beast, The Anthem of the Heart and two parts of Chihayafuru, which are subtitled in English and Vietnamese.

Most of the films were premiered in 2016 with the exception of The Boy and the Beast and The Anthem of the Heart which debuted last year.

Similar films will also be screened at Japanese Film Festivals in countries across Southeast Asia and the Pacific, including Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Thailand and Australia.

In Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, the audience can join a lucky draw game where the winner will be given a T-shirt bearing the logo of the film festival.
