2013 European film festival features cultural diversity

(VOV) -The 14th European Film Festival will take place in Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, and Danang to celebrate “Europe Days 2013” in Vietnam from May 15-26.

Most of 16 films selected from 14 different EU Member countries for screening such as drama, romance, comedy, documentary and children’s animated films have received international awards.

The festival will open in HCM City on May 15, in Hanoi on May 16 with the presence of “Eat Sleep Die” producer from Sweden and in Danang on May 17.

“The silver screen world has no borders. No passports or visas are required to take you from one country to another. Nor does it take much, other than setting yourself in a theatre with a box of popcorn, to experience life from the eyes of a child or a traveller. Cinema has successfully shared diverse cultures, people, histories and perspectives to audiences from across the globe for over 100 years, said Ambassador Franz Jessen, Head of the Delegation of the European Union to Vietnam.

Free tickets can be collected in Ho Chi Minh City as from May 9 and  in Hanoi and Danang as from May 10.
