An earthquake of 5.7 Richter scale was recorded in far-western region of Nepal on Monday at around 1132 GMT on April 4, no casualties have been reported so far.

According to local myrepublica.com report, the epicenter of the earthquake was around Pitharagadh of India.

The US Geological Survey initially said the quake was 5.4 on the Richter scale, and the epicenter, with a depth of 12.50 km, was at 29.7 degrees north latitude and 80.8 degrees east longitude.
