Deputy PM welcomes Singapore’s Temasek leader

VOV.VN - On March 2, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc received Cheo Hock Kuan, International’s Head of Strategic & Public Affairs in Hanoi.

Phuc lauded the effective investment by Temasek as a contribution to forging investment cooperation between the two nations.

Vietnam has been improving its investment and business environment and the Government is ready to facilitate foreign investments, Phuc said while suggesting the group invest in mineral processing, food technology and tourism.

Singapore’s Temasek is keen to intensify investments in Vietnam and seek partnerships in finance, hi-tech, consumer goods and healthcare, Cheo Hock Kuan told her host.

Temasek opened a representative office in Vietnam in February 2005, with its investment focusing on natural resources, agro-fishery, information technology and banking.

Vietnam has offered favourable conditions for Temasek and other foreign investors, helping them operate effectively as the way to strengthening bilateral ties, she noted.
