According to the organising board, one of the prominent features of the event is the presentation of prizes to people who have made great contributions to the Vietnam Cinematography Association since its establishment. 

This year, there will be no Silver or Bronze Kite awards. Each type of films will have only one Golden Kite prize in order to maintain the value of the prize.

The jury board has nearly 30 members, including 20 media workers from prestigious newspapers, as well as famous critics from Vietnam’s cinematography sector.
