Lang Son police seize 20 bricks of heroin in drugs bust
VOV.VN - Police in the northern province of Lang Son have announced the arrests of three local men and confiscation of 20 bricks of heroin and other evidence in a major drugs bust on May 17.
Earlier on May 16, police in Lang Son province stopped and inspected a car in Moc Chau town which was carrying Pham Xuan Lan, 37, and his younger brother, Pham Xuan Dung. Upon inspection, the police discovered 20 bricks of heroin which had been concealed within the car.
The drug traffickers admitted to having been hired to transport the drugs from Son La to Lang Son for consumption.
Police have also examined the residence of a man named Trieu Ky Voong, living in Lang Son city, where they seized VND57 million, a car, 10 mobile phones, 41 bullets, and other evidence.
At the police station, Voong admitted to having hired Lan and Dung to transport the drugs worth VND2.8 billion.
Lang Son police are actively conducting further investigations.
