Lieutenant-general Tran Dai Quang, politburo member and Deputy Minister of Public Security held a reception for British Minister of State at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, Jeremy Browne, in Hanoi on April 7.   

At the reception, Mr Brown expressed his delight over the cooperative relations, and especially the strategic partnership between the two nations in recent years. He also said that relations among law enforcement agencies of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and the Vietnam Ministry of Public Security had expanded and proven effective in all fields.

Legislative bodies of both countries have strengthened the exchange of information on the prevention and fight against crime, maintained social and security orders as well as preventing international crimes with the help of hi-tech system.

Lieutenant-general Tran Dai Quang affirmed that Vietnam’s Ministry of Public Security will do its best to consolidate and strengthen relationships with the UK.

He expressed hope that Mr Brown will continue his contribution to the development of relations as well as an effective cooperation between Vietnam’s law enforcement agencies and the UK.
