The Vietnam Machinery Installation Corporation (Lilama) has shipped 3,000 tonnes of boiler equipment to India to be used in building the Barh STPP thermal power plant.

The shipment is the first batch under a US$45-million contract to supply 31,000 tonnes of equipment between Lilama and the project’s constructor PJSC TKZ “Krasny Kotelshchik” from Russia. The project needs 70,000 tonnes of equipment.

According to Lilama, this is the corporation’s largest contract so far which is expected to be completed in August 2008.
