Peru, Colombia and Paraguay wish to increase cooperation with Vietnam in all fields, especially in agriculture, fisheries, mining and tourism.

Receiving Vietnamese Deputy Foreign Minister and Special Envoy of the Prime Minister Le Van Bang of Vietnam during his four-day visit to the three countries from March 6, hosts voiced their support for Vietnam's candidacy as a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council for the 2008-09 term.

They spoke highly of Vietnam's achievements during its renewal process, affirming their support for Vietnam's enterprises and goods to enter their countries and Latin America as well.

Hosts and guest agreed to boost cooperation at the international forums and organisations, such as the United Nations, the World Trade Organisation, the Non-Aligned Movement and Forum for East Asia-Latin America Cooperation.

On the occasion, Vietnamese Deputy Foreign Minister Le Van Bang and his Paraguay's counterpart Pederico Gonzalez Franco signed an agreement on visa exemption for holders of official and diplomatic passports of the two countries.
