A solemn ceremony to repatriate the remains of two Vietnamese volunteer soldiers fighting for the liberation of Lao in the late 1960s was held in northern Ninh Binh province on January 6.

The two soldiers died in their early 20s when the US and the Saigon regime were expanding the war into Laos and Cambodia.

The ceremony was co-organised by the provincial Department of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs and the provincial military headquarters.
