The Hanoi Union of Friendship Organisations (HUFO) in coordination with the VTL Communication Group organised a friendship exchange programme at Hanoi’s Daewoo Hotel on February 3 congratulating Vietnam on taking ASEAN chair in 2010.
The event also aimed to promote the friendship between Vietnam and the rest of the world.
On hand were 20 ambassadors, representatives of international organisations, foreign officials, and students living and studying in Hanoi.
Addressing the event, Cuban Ambassador to Vietnam Fredesman Turo Gonzalez wished Vietnam success in serving as ASEAN’s Chair.
The event’s entertainment included Michael Hoy of the Australian Embassy singing a Vietnamese song and students from the Russian high school presenting a fashion show of ao dai (traditional long dress).
