The year 2010 will bring Vietnamese photographers many opportunities and challenges as Hanoi will host the 30th International Federation of Photographic Arts Congress in August.

The congress will be one of the greatest activities to celebrate the 1000th anniversary of Thang Long-Hanoi.

The association is preparing for an exhibition of 300 photos on the capital, the largest ever event for photographers to show Vietnam’s images to the world.

Also, a national center for archives and photo exhibitions in Hanoi’s Cau Giay District, will officially open in October, after two years of construction, marking a turning point in Vietnamese photography as it never had any house to exhibit its works before.
